New STREET ANGEL GANG comics story hits up stores, this July

The deadliest girl alive returns!

This July, Image Comics will release The Street Angel Gang,  the latest work from the creative team of Jim Rugg (Afrodisiac, The Plain Janes) and Brian Maruca (Afrodisiac), in full-color hardcover form.

Jesse Sanchez is a kung fu master on a skateboard, and a homeless orphan failing seventh grade.

In THE STREET ANGEL GANG, the deadliest girl alive accidentally joins a super violent street gang. Are the Bleeders the family Jesse never had, or is Jesse the child they never wanted? What? Free snacks at the gang tryout party! Also, SCANDAL—one of the Bleeders is a spy!

“Find out what happens when the Deadliest Girl Alive embraces her inner gangsta,” said Rugg.

“You’ll see sleeves in a whole new light!” promised Maruca.

Jesse’s first story began in 2004 (published by Slave Labor Graphics) as Street Angel, as an alternative comic book limited series by Jim Rugg and Brian Maruca. Over the years, Street Angel gained fame through webcomics and collected print volumes. She recently appeared under the Image Comics imprint in the full-color Street Angel: After School Kung Fu Special.

The Street Angel Gang hits up the comic book stores on Wednesday, July 26th and at bookstores, Tuesday, August 1st.
