This October, Image Comics brings a fresh fantasy to the shelves with Mirenda, by cartoonist Grim Wilkins (Prophet, Earth War). in a oversized hardcover graphic novel format.

Originally serialized in the comics anthology series Island, Mirenda  is an experimental fantasy about  a jungle-dwelling woman who discovers a mysterious demon trapped in her leg, as she sets off on an extraordinary adventure to get it out.

Grim Wilkins work in Mirenda is described as a “deeply visual, and nearly silent” graphic novel, with homages to the classic sci-fi fantasy work of Moebius, Frazetta, and the other pioneers of the classic Heavy Metal magazine golden era.

“Mirenda is a uniquely enjoyable reading experience,” said Wilkins. “I hope people have as much fun reading it as I did making it!”

Mirenda arrives in comics shops in  on Wednesday, October 31st and bookstores on Tuesday, November 6th.
