UNDISPUTED STREET FIGHTER, new behind the game series book coming

Dynamite Entertainment announces the next volume in its Video Game Icons series, Undisputed Street Fighter: The Art and Innovation Behind the Game-Changing Series, written by Steve Hendershot and edited by Tim Lapetino, in cooperation with Capcom Entertainment.

This new book coming celebrates 30 years of the beloved fighting game franchise, with a retrospective delving into the art, design, gameplay, and storytelling behind Street Fighter, as well as the series’ impact on popular culture and game design. Over 300 pages will feature in-depth interviews and exclusive, behind-the-scenes looks into the making of the Street Fighter games while featuring some of the iconic art, design, and imagery from across the Street Fighter universe.

Undisputed Street Fighter is the third book in the Video Game Icons series, after the popular release of Art of Atari and Art of Atari Poster Collection. Writer Steve Hendershot is an award-winning Chicago journalist and the editorial director of MOVA, the Museum of Video Game Art.  Editor Tim Lapetino is the Series Editor for Dynamite’s exclusive line of books, Video Game Icons, and the Executive Director of MOVA, the Museum of Video Game Art.

Undisputed Street Fighter will be available in major bookstore chains, online booksellers, and independent bookstores and to consumers through the comic book specialty market. Also, this book will be available through digital format platforms: Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital. New MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE trailer and details

Capcom Entertainment recently announced a photon cannon barrage of information on the highly anticipated Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite fighting game crossover game.

Here’s a new trailer, followed by exciting new details:

The North America release date for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be on September 19, 2017, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC

This time, there will be a cinematic Story Mode, as heroes and villains battle together to save their merged worlds from a sinister new threat, Ultron Sigma. A combination of the robotic foes known as Ultron from the Marvel Universe and Sigma from the Capcom Universe, this psychotic villain is obsessed with infecting all organic life with a cybernetic virus. History’s greatest gathering of warriors must now unite to fight back against Ultron Sigma and save their newly formed world.

In addition to the story experience, single player Arcade, Training and Mission modes and vast multiplayer will be included.

Also, more new characters have joined the battle for survival including Ultron, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, Chris Redfield

The expanded roster will join the previously announced Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and Captain America from the Marvel side, and Ryu, Mega Man X, and Morrigan from Capcom side. The use of powerful, game-changing Infinity Stones further deepens the customized gameplay and allows players to equip and unleash elemental in-game powers, such as Time, Power and Space.

Expect new characters to be announced as the game release draws closer.

Pre-orders (in North America) for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite are now available on all platforms for the $59.99 MSRP Standard Edition and $89.99 MSRP Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes the main game on PS4 or Xbox One and a 2017 Character Pass, which contains access to six all-new additional post-launch characters including Sigma, the main antagonist from the Mega Man X series. Pre-order bonuses for all versions in North America include Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes.The pre-order bonus for the Deluxe Edition is the same as the Standard Edition, but also includes two additional costumes: Gladiator Hulk and Mega Man Command Mission X. Capcom also confirmed a very limited MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE Collector’s Edition, brought to you by TriForce, is available now for pre-order on PS4 and Xbox One. It will include four premium character dioramas of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Mega Man X and Chun-Li, a case filled with six Infinity Stone replicas, as well as SteelBook packaging that contains the Deluxe Edition of the game, all for only $199.99 MSRP.

All editions and versions of MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE will simultaneously release on September 19, 2017.
